Formation and Evaluation of Au/ZnO Particles by a Spray Pyrolysis Method

ZnO/Au is expected to exhibit catalytic properties by absorbing ultraviolet and visible light because ZnO Au nanoparticles can absorb light, respectively. Doping studies on (ZnO/Au) have been conducted expand the absorption wavelength range. This study generates particles an ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method (USP). To prevent particle aggregation, Triton X-100, a non-ionic surfactant, added, its effects are examined. The generated characterized using different methods. SEM reveals size several micrometers, while XRD analysis indicates that metallic crystalline present. TEM images of show crystals well dispersed in inner outer portions ZnO. UV-Vis spectroscopy confirms smaller size, higher peak near 400 nm. Adding X-100 shifts toward longer side but improves aggregation particles.
